To log out of a Nintendo Switch, here are the steps:

1. Open the "System Settings" menu from the Switch's main menu.
2. Scroll down and select "Users".
3. Choose the account you wish to log out from.
4. Scroll down and select "Delete User".
5. If the user is linked to a Nintendo Account, a prompt will ask if you're sure you want to delete the user. Select "Next".
6. A message will appear telling you what is going to be deleted. Select "Delete This User" to proceed.
7. A box will appear asking if you're sure you want to delete the user account. Select "Delete" to confirm.

Within these steps, it's important to note that removing an account from a Nintendo Switch system will also delete the save data associated with that account.

If you just want to switch between different user profiles on a single Switch console, just go back to the Home screen and then select the icon of the profile you want to use. This way, you don't have to delete profiles just to "log out".
